ADC Faction Denies Bala’s Resignation As Chairman

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) faction has denied the resignation of acting national chairman Hon Nafiu Bala, dismissing a purported resignation letter as forged and malicious. The party's director of Media and Public Affairs, Dr.

Christopher Okechukwu, stated that the letter dated May 18, 2025, did not originate from Bala and did not bear the ADC's official insignia. Okechukwu emphasized that the resignation letter was entirely fabricated and maliciously designed by desperate political actors to destabilize the party.

He accused former National Chairman Ralph Nwosu and a coalition of individuals of attempting to hijack the party structure by submitting unauthorized documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Okechukwu urged INEC and security agencies to reject the forged letter and investigate its origins.

He also called on party members and the public to disregard the misinformation campaign aimed at creating disunity within the ADC.
