Kachikwu Elected ADC Presidential Candidate for 2027

Dumebi Kachikwu has been elected as the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 general elections during a special convention held in Abuja. This election comes alongside the dissolution of the National Working Committee led by David Mark.

Kachikwu, a businessman and politician, presented a reform agenda that includes the proposed "Nigerian Patriot Act," which aims to ensure that public office holders cannot use privileges for personal gain, such as sending their families to private foreign schools or hospitals. He criticized the current political elite for deepening poverty and insecurity and emphasized the need for merit-based leadership rather than ethnic or regional considerations.

Kachikwu also promised to implement significant economic and technological reforms, including the establishment of technology parks in every senatorial district and expanding broadband access. He condemned the current administration under President Bola Tinubu for its failures and pledged to confront terrorism and crime effectively.
