ADC Schedules 2026 Primaries, Nomination Forms at ₦100M

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the timeline for its primaries, set to take place in May 2026. According to a statement issued by Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national public secretary, the sale of nomination forms will occur from May 5 to May 10, 2026, with submissions due by May 11 to May 13, 2026.

Screening of aspirants is scheduled for May 14 to May 15, 2026, followed by the release of public screening results on May 17, 2026. Appeals will be heard on May 18 and May 19, with the final list of cleared aspirants released on May 20, 2026.

The primaries will commence on May 21, 2026, covering various electoral positions, including state houses of assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate seats. The presidential primaries are set for May 25, 2026.

The nomination forms are priced at ₦100 million for presidential candidates, ₦50 million for governorship, ₦20 million for Senate, ₦10 million for House of Representatives, and ₦3 million for state houses of assembly. The ADC is encouraging participation by offering a 50% discount for youth and a 25% discount for women and persons with disabilities.

The party is currently facing internal divisions following a Supreme Court ruling reinstating David Mark's faction.
