ADC Demands INEC Remove David Mark-led Committee

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has given the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) a seven-day ultimatum to remove the interim national caretaker committee led by Senator David Mark. Dr.

Macfarlan Ejah, the party's vice chairman and central director of policy strategy, described the committee as illegitimate, claiming it undermines the party's structure and electoral processes. The ultimatum was announced during a press conference in Calabar on Tuesday.

Ejah emphasized that the ADC does not recognize the interim committee, which was purportedly established in violation of the party's constitution and electoral laws. He expressed concerns that the committee's actions could lead to invalid nominations for upcoming elections, potentially jeopardizing the party's standing.

The ADC demands a return to its previous status quo, asserting that the current leadership is undemocratic and unconstitutional, and threatens to take legal action if INEC fails to comply.
