ADC Youths Demand INEC Recognize Mark-Led Leadership

The youth wing of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has given the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) a strict three-day deadline to recognize the leadership of David Mark or face nationwide action. This ultimatum was announced during a press briefing held at the party's national secretariat in Abuja.

The ADC youth leader, Balarab Rufa, described INEC's recent decision to no longer recognize the Mark-led faction as a direct attack on the party's internal democracy. The ADC's National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on July 29, 2025, was deemed valid, and Rufa insisted that INEC's actions were politically motivated and a violation of constitutional authority.

The ADC youth have threatened mass mobilization across Nigeria if INEC does not comply within the 72-hour timeframe, calling for accountability and oversight from lawmakers. They demand the restoration of the Mark-led leadership on INEC's portal and a public apology from the commission.
