ADC Gubernatorial Aspirant Abducted and Killed in Kaduna

Abba Ana Adamu Laushi, a gubernatorial aspirant for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, was abducted and subsequently killed on the Kaduna-Abuja highway. His kidnapping occurred last Friday while he was traveling to purchase his nomination form for the upcoming gubernatorial elections.

Reports indicate that the abductors demanded a ransom of N75 million. Although a second victim reportedly escaped captivity, Laushi was allegedly killed after the ransom was paid.

Laushi had served as a member of the House of Representatives representing the Birniwa, Guri, and Kirikasamma Federal Constituency in Jigawa State from 2007 to 2011. His death raises significant concerns regarding security and the safety of political aspirants in Nigeria.
