ADC Criticizes CDS for 'Sons of Nigeria' Terrorist Comment

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) for his comments referring to terrorists as "sons of Nigeria." Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's spokesperson, stated that such remarks reflect a dangerous mindset that weakens the nation's efforts to combat insecurity. He recalled similar statements made by Nuhu Ribadu, a former national security adviser, which described terrorists in familial terms.

Abdullahi warned that framing terrorists in this manner blurs the moral and legal boundaries necessary for effective security responses. He emphasized that this approach contributes to the ongoing struggle to curb violence and that the situation cannot be allowed to persist.

The ADC's criticism highlights the need for a more confrontational stance against criminal elements rather than an accommodating one.
