ADC Leaders Form 10-Party Coalition to Challenge APC

Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are planning a coalition of 10 political parties to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) amid a leadership crisis and the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) decision to derecognize the party. This situation arose following the removal of Senator David Mark from the ADC leadership, with conflicting claims from Nasiru Bala Gomb and Lai regarding the party's chairmanship.

INEC has stated it will not recognize any factions within the ADC until the leadership dispute is resolved. Sources indicate that this crisis may unintentionally create opportunities for a broader coalition among opposition parties, with discussions already underway involving the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the People's Redemption Party (PRP).

The ADC is also considering a potential joint ticket involving former President Goodluck Jonathan and other prominent figures. Senior ADC officials remain optimistic about the coalition's potential to strengthen their position against the APC in the upcoming elections.
