Peaceful Bye-Election in Kano State with High Turnout

The bye-election held in Kano State saw the African Democratic Congress (ADC), National Democratic Congress (NDC), and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) opting not to participate. The election, which took place in the Dawakin Kudu and Warawa Federal Constituency, was characterized by a peaceful and orderly conduct, as reported by the chairman of Warawa Local Government Council, Hon. Sanusi Ahmad Garindau.

He attributed the peaceful atmosphere to the initiatives championed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, who directed local authorities and stakeholders to ensure no violence occurred during the election. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies praised the voter turnout and the absence of violence, with Professor Abdul Zango, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, expressing satisfaction with the conduct of the election.

No technological failures were reported, and the election was marked by a significant turnout, reflecting effective coordination and security measures.
