ADC Nullifies Kingibe's Suspension, Sanctions Ward Officials

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially nullified the suspension of Senator Ireti Kingibe, deeming it illegitimate due to a failure to follow proper procedures as outlined in the party's constitution. The ADC's national leadership, represented by Emmanuel Destini, stated that the suspension lacked due process and emphasized that no individual can be suspended without a formal complaint.

In response to the suspension, three ward officials from the Wuse Ward in Abuja—Chairman Kanayo Chukwu, Amanda Pam, and Omal Suleiman—were sanctioned for allegedly spearheading the controversial move. The ADC's leadership has distanced itself from the initial suspension announcement, labeling it as misleading.

The situation has escalated tensions within the party, particularly among the FCT chapter, leading to a vote of no confidence against the three ward officials. The controversy began when the Wuse Ward officials accused Senator Kingibe of anti-party activities, including withholding campaign funds during recent elections.
