ADC Criticizes Court Adjournment in Leadership Case

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement on Friday regarding a court's adjournment in a leadership case involving Nafiu Bala Gomb. The ADC described the adjournment as "laughable" and criticized Gomb's lawyer for seeking to transfer the lawsuit against the party's National Working Committee, led by former Senate President David Mark.

Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's spokesperson, accused the plaintiff of attempting to delay the case, asserting that Gomb's request for reassignment of the judge was suspicious and indicative of a sinister plot allegedly orchestrated by a federal minister. The ADC expressed concerns that Gomb's actions were an attempt to influence the judiciary for political reasons, undermining public trust in the judicial system.

The party reiterated its commitment to the rule of law and judicial independence, condemning any attempts to manipulate court proceedings for political gain.
