ADC Criticizes Makinde for Removing Adegoke's Billboard

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has condemned Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for the alleged unlawful removal of campaign billboards belonging to its governorship candidate, Adegboyega Adegoke. The ADC claims that the billboards, located at Idi-Ap Junction in Ibadan, featured Adegoke alongside the party's presidential candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The ADC argues that the removal, executed without justification, is a politically motivated act aimed at undermining the party's growing influence as the 2027 general elections approach. Adegoke described the development as illegal, asserting that it sends a negative message about democratic practices in Oyo State.

He emphasized that the ADC will not tolerate such actions, which he believes are attempts to diminish the party's popularity. The ADC is actively working to strengthen its presence across several states following the conclusion of its presidential primaries, where Atiku Abubakar emerged as the party's candidate.
