Adegoke Confirmed as ADC Governorship Candidate for 2027

The Media Team of Oyo State African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Olooye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, confirmed that he remains the party's candidate for the 2027 election. They issued a statement in Ibadan urging the public to disregard claims from another individual regarding the governorship candidacy.

The statement referenced a pending court case (Suit FHC/IB/CS/67/2026) filed against the ADC and its National Working Committee, questioning the legitimacy of the rival's claims. Adegoke was declared the ADC governorship candidate after winning the party's primary election with 16,051 votes, while his opponents received significantly fewer votes: Bisi Ilaka (11,415), Gbemileke Alagbe (241), Azeez Adeduntan (155), and Niyi Aborisade (67).

The Media Team reiterated Adegoke's recognition by both the ADC and INEC, labeling the rival's claims as unfounded and urging supporters to remain calm amidst the confusion.
