ADC Accuses Makinde of Illegally Replacing Campaign Billboards

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State has accused Governor Seyi Makinde of unlawfully replacing billboards that promote their gubernatorial candidate, Olooy Adegboyega Adegok, with his own banners. The ADC stated that the billboards, which featured Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, were legally paid for until August 20, 2026, and that the removal of these advertisements is an illegal act.

Adegok expressed shock over the removal of the billboards, emphasizing that the Oyo State government has no right to replace legally established advertisements. The ADC warned that such actions are contrary to the principles of peace, coexistence, and democracy in Ibadan, the largest city in West Africa.

They urged the government to cease these actions, which they view as a violation of democratic freedoms and an attempt to diminish their political presence in the state.
