ADC Protest Demands Justice Abdulmalik's Withdrawal

Supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) protested at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, demanding that Justice Joyc Abdulmalik withdraw from cases involving the party. The protest was organized by ADC members and stakeholders, who carried placards with messages urging the judiciary not to destroy democracy.

They expressed a lack of confidence in Justice Abdulmalik's ability to handle the cases fairly, citing concerns over the integrity of the judicial process. ADC's national president, Anthony Olah, called for the Chief Justice of Nigeria to intervene and direct Justice Abdulmalik to recuse herself to protect Nigeria's democracy.

The protest coincided with a scheduled hearing related to the ADC, and the demonstrators urged the judiciary to maintain public trust. They referenced past instances where judges recused themselves due to similar concerns, emphasizing the need for transparency and confidence in judicial proceedings, particularly those involving political parties.
