ADC Protests INEC in Jigawa, Demands Leadership Reinstatement

Members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State held a peaceful protest at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Dutsin-Ma. They called for the removal of Amupitan and the immediate reinstatement of their leadership, which they allege INEC has failed to recognize.

The protestors accused INEC of undermining democratic principles in handling the party's leadership matters and insisted that the leadership led by David Mark remains legally recognized. They argued that INEC's actions pose a threat to democratic governance and public confidence in the electoral process.

The ADC demanded a public apology from INEC and the resignation of the national chairman, labeling the commission's actions as unconstitutional. Ibrahim Idri, the administrative secretary of INEC in Jigawa State, received their petition and assured the protestors that their grievances would be conveyed to the commission's national headquarters.
