ADC and UNILORIN Promote Unity for Eid-el-Fitr Celebrations

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) issued a statement on Friday, acknowledging the hardships faced by families across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national publicity secretary, highlighted the teachings of Ramadan, which emphasize perseverance, compassion, and unity.

He noted that despite the difficulties, the spirit of Ramadan should inspire hope for a better future. Similarly, Professor Wahab Egbewol, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, extended Eid greetings to the Muslim community, both locally and globally.

In his statement, he recognized the significance of completing the Ramadan fast and encouraged Muslims to carry forward the virtues cultivated during this holy month. Egbewol also congratulated notable figures, including Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Dr.

Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, for their roles in the community. He reaffirmed the university's commitment to fostering peace and coexistence among diverse faiths and backgrounds.
