ADC Urges INEC to Publish PVC Distribution Timetable

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately release a clear nationwide timetable for the production, distribution, and collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). In a statement issued on Friday, signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC emphasized that every Nigerian who successfully completed voter registration must have timely access to their PVC.

The party criticized the current situation where registered voters must navigate various offices to obtain their cards, equating this to disenfranchisement. The ADC urged INEC to publish detailed state-by-state data on newly registered voters, PVCs produced, and collection centers.

They also called for enhanced public information campaigns and the decentralization of collection points to facilitate access. With the general election approaching, the ADC plans to mobilize its structures nationwide to monitor PVC distribution and document complaints from voters unable to obtain their cards, stressing the importance of resolving these issues transparently and comprehensively.
