ADC Demands Prosecution of Nafiu Bala Over Election Claims

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged law enforcement agencies to prosecute Nafiu Bala for allegedly claiming to have obtained the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) access code to upload candidates for the 2027 general elections. Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's national publicity secretary, stated that the document circulated by Bala is a criminal attempt to undermine the integrity of the commission and the electoral process.

Abdullahi emphasized that INEC has unequivocally confirmed that the claims made by Bala are false and represent a serious challenge to the integrity of Nigeria's electoral management body. The ADC warned that allowing such claims to go unpunished could erode public confidence in the electoral process and create unnecessary political tension.

The party called for immediate action from INEC to ensure that Bala and anyone else involved in promoting falsehoods are investigated and prosecuted according to the law, highlighting the importance of preserving public trust in democratic processes.
