Adegoke Remains ADC Guber Candidate Amid Rival Claims

The Media Team of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) affirmed that Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke remains the party's governorship candidate for Oyo State. This statement came in response to Gbemileke Alagbe's claims of being the ADC candidate for the 2027 general election, which he announced during a press conference where he introduced Niyi Aborisade as his running mate.

The ADC's media team criticized Alagbe's assertions, highlighting that he had filed a lawsuit against the party and its National Working Committee (NWC), questioning how he could simultaneously claim to be the candidate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Adegoke was confirmed as the ADC candidate after receiving 16,051 votes in the party's primary election, significantly ahead of Alagbe, who garnered only 241 votes.

The media team urged the public and ADC members to disregard Alagbe's claims, emphasizing that the party's candidate is determined by the electoral process and not by public declarations.
