Oyo ADC Candidate Adegok Alleges Illegal Billboard Removal

Adegboyega Taofeek Adegok, the gubernatorial candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, has expressed alarm over the alleged illegal removal of his campaign billboard located at the Idi Ap Junction in Ibadan. Adegok's media team issued a statement claiming that the state government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, replaced the billboard featuring Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's image without proper justification.

Adegok stated that they had paid for the billboard's display until August 20, 2026, and that the state government had not owned the billboard. He emphasized that the billboard had been in place for a long time and that the removal was contrary to the principles of democracy and coexistence.

Adegok warned that such actions would not be tolerated and indicated that the ADC would continue to engage politically in Oyo State, asserting confidence in their prospects for victory in the 2027 elections.
