Adekunle Gold Reveals How Inflation Doesn't Affect Him

Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold discussed the impact of rising prices in Nigeria during an appearance on the 90s Baby Podcast. He stated that inflation does not directly affect his daily life because his lifestyle means he rarely visits supermarkets or buys household food items himself.

Gold explained that he usually becomes aware of price increases when his staff informs him, using sardines as an example of a product whose price hike he might not notice until mentioned by his employees. He indicated that he only starts to recognize changes in prices when his staff alerts him that certain products have become more expensive or when household supplies need to be purchased more frequently.

This contrasts with the experience of many Nigerians who encounter price changes during regular market trips. Gold's unique situation provides him with a different perspective on the rising living costs in the country.
