Adeleke Urges Tinubu to Address Extrajudicial Killings

On Monday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke alleged that extrajudicial killings were occurring in the state and called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene. Speaking at a governorship campaign rally for the Accord party in Olorunda Local Government, Adeleke reminded Tinubu of the endorsement he received for the 2027 general election and urged him to protect the residents of Osun.

He expressed concern over police bias in the political crises affecting the state and warned against any attempts to manipulate the upcoming August 15 governorship election. Adeleke referenced the political turmoil of 1983, stating that Osun would not tolerate rigging.

He reassured supporters that he would win the election if it were free and fair. Additionally, he expressed confidence in the support of the electorate and mentioned ongoing discussions with the National Peace Committee regarding the security situation in the state.
