Adeleke Urges Tinubu to Safeguard Osun Election Integrity

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, made an appeal to President Bola Tinubu via social media on Saturday, as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) began collating election results. He urged Tinubu to issue a clear warning to heads of security agencies in Osun State to protect the electoral process and ensure public safety.

Adeleke expressed concern over reports of attempts by "desperate and rejected politicians" to disrupt collation centers, despite a significant deployment of security personnel for the election. He implored the President to reaffirm the commitment that the votes of Osun State residents would be respected and that the election outcome would reflect their choices.

Additionally, he called on the Nigeria Police Force, DSS, Nigerian Army, NSCDC, and other security agencies to adhere to the President's directives to safeguard the electoral process. Adeleke emphasized that the people's voices must be heard and their votes protected.
