Adeleke Accuses Osun APC of Hijacking N300bn Funds

Governor Adeleke of Osun State has raised concerns regarding the alleged hijacking of N300 billion meant for local government funds by the Osun APC, which he claims is causing delays in essential infrastructure projects and impacting the financial stability of local workers, including teachers and health workers. He highlighted that the state government has been forced to cover the financial responsibilities of local workers due to the diversion of funds, which he described as a violation of local government financial laws.

Adeleke criticized the APC for lacking conscience and for their actions that he believes punish local workers, exacerbating hardships at the grassroots level. He called for accountability and emphasized the importance of sustaining local workforce and services, stating that the funds are crucial for ongoing projects in areas such as Iwo, Ila Orangun, and Osogbo.

The governor urged the contractor involved in these projects to expedite their work to alleviate the suffering of the community.
