Technology and Indigenous Capacity: Nigeria's Energy Future

Ngozi Adeleke, President of Renaiss Africa Energy, spoke about the critical role of technology and indigenous capacity in shaping Nigeria's energy future during a discussion with Funmi Ogundar. She stressed the urgent need for technology-driven efficiency in the global energy mix and the importance of digitalization in sustaining energy infrastructure.

Adeleke highlighted that indigenous companies are essential for unlocking Nigeria's vast gas potential and expanding midstream infrastructure to drive long-term energy security and industrial growth. She noted that Renaiss is involved in a joint venture with NNPC and TotalEnergies, aiming to scale operations towards producing one million barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2030.

Adeleke also discussed the challenges of crude theft and the measures taken to secure operations, emphasizing the need for collaboration with government security forces to protect national assets.
