Adeleke Addresses Peace Threats in Ikirun, Osun State

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke issued a warning regarding threats to peace in Ikirun town, following reports of harassment involving community leaders. In a statement released on Wednesday by his spokesperson Olawal Rashe, Adeleke expressed concern over allegations of intimidation by unidentified security personnel against prominent figures in Ikirun.

He noted that these developments could undermine the peace currently enjoyed in the area. The governor directed the Nigeria Police to take immediate action to investigate the situation and restore calm.

He emphasized the importance of protecting community leaders and ensuring the safety of residents, urging security agencies to maintain law and order throughout Osun State. Adeleke's administration is committed to safeguarding the rights of citizens and preventing any actions that could jeopardize the prevailing peace in Ikirun.
