Adeleke Will Not Join APC, Confirms Campaign Spokesman

Pelumi Olajengbesi, the spokesperson for the Ademola Adeleke Campaign Council, stated that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke will not be joining the All Progressives Congress (APC). This clarification followed Adeleke's post-election visit to President Bola Tinubu, which Olajengbesi described as a courtesy call and a sign of respect for the presidency.

He emphasized that the visit was intended to appreciate Tinubu for ensuring a fair electoral process during the recent Osun State governorship election, allowing citizens to express their choices freely. Olajengbesi noted that Adeleke's meeting with Tinubu also focused on advocating for the strengthening of democratic institutions and promoting healing and unity in Osun State post-election.

He firmly ruled out any possibility of Adeleke defecting to the APC, stating that the governor will collaborate with the Federal Government for progress in both Nigeria and Osun State.
