AEDC Schedules Power Outage for Maintenance on Feb 21

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has informed residents of Gwarinpa, Dawaki, and the surrounding communities about a scheduled power outage. This outage is due to maintenance work being carried out by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on the 60MVA transformer TR1 at the Katamp transmission substation.

The maintenance is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. AEDC emphasized that this maintenance work is part of ongoing efforts to enhance service reliability and improve power supply to the affected communities.
