AFN Announces Schedule for Commonwealth Games Trials

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has released the schedule for the Commonwealth Games trials, which will occur from June 20 to 22, 2026, in Lagos. The opening day of the trials will include events such as the women's 5,000m final, men's discus final, and heats for the men's and women's 100m. The second day will see race walkers competing in the men's and women's 10,000m events, along with field events like women's javelin and men's hammer throw.

The final day will conclude with significant events, including the men's and women's 100m finals and the men's and women's 400m hurdles. This series of competitions is crucial for athletes aiming to qualify for the Commonwealth Games.
