Nigerians Urged to Embrace Lifelong Learning for Growth

During the fifth public lecture at the African School of Economics in Abuja, Prof. Mahfouz Adedimeji urged Nigerians to embrace lifelong learning to thrive in a knowledge-driven digital economy.

He stressed the necessity of adopting innovative leadership approaches to remain competitive. The lecture, themed "Innovative Leadership in a Digital Age," featured insights on the importance of continuous education and skill acquisition.

Adedimeji noted that the modern economy values intellectual capital over manual labor, and individuals must constantly acquire new knowledge to solve problems effectively. Mr.

Paddi Hart, a former senior lecturer at Atlantic Technological University, emphasized that innovation involves improving existing ideas rather than creating entirely new concepts. The event was attended by Mr.

Peter Ryan, the Irish Ambassador to Nigeria, who encouraged young Nigerians to remain open to constructive feedback and highlighted the significance of human interaction in fostering connections.
