Afrinvest Calls for NPFL Transparency After Rangers' Win

Ik Chiok, Managing Director of Afrinvest West Africa Group, called for improved transparency and governance in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after Enugu Rangers secured their ninth league title with a 2-1 victory over Ikorodu City in Lagos. This triumph marks a significant achievement for Rangers, who have now clinched the NPFL crown for the 2025/26 season.

Chiok expressed pride in Afrinvest's partnership with the club, which began in 2023, and noted the importance of corporate sponsorship in elevating Nigerian football. He urged the NPFL to adopt stronger administrative standards to attract corporate sponsors and improve the overall matchday experience for fans.

Chiok also stressed the need for equitable prize money distribution and fair officiating to build trust within the league. Amobi Ezeaku, CEO of Enugu Rangers, acknowledged Afrinvest's central role in the club's success, highlighting the partnership's impact on their strategic plans and performance.
