Aondoakaa Resigns from APC, Joins PDP for 2027 Race

Michael Aondoakaa, the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, has officially resigned from his membership in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and is set to join the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in preparation for the upcoming Benue State governorship election. Aondoakaa announced his resignation in a statement posted on his Facebook page following a meeting with former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom in Abuja.

He indicated that his decision to leave the APC was made after extensive consultations with family and political associates. Aondoakaa expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve within the APC but noted that prevailing circumstances necessitated a different political path.

He urged his supporters to remain calm and peaceful as he prepares to announce his next political move, which aims to reposition Benue State for better governance and development. Sources within Benue State's political circles suggest that Aondoakaa is preparing to pursue the governorship in the 2027 general elections.
