PDP Calls for Reconciliation After INEC Candidate List Release

Following the publication of the candidates' list for the 2027 Presidential and National Assembly elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for reconciliation among its factions. National Publicity Secretary Jungudo Haruna Mohammed announced that the party is extending an invitation to the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led faction and other aggrieved members.

He emphasized that the publication has dispelled misinformation regarding the PDP's participation in the elections. The PDP's presidential candidate is Professor Sandy Onor, with Alhaji Babangida Umar as his running mate.

Mohammed commended party members for their resilience and reiterated the party's commitment to unity and inclusiveness, welcoming returning members and new defectors. He also expressed gratitude to INEC, the judiciary, and security agencies for their roles in upholding the rule of law.
