Boko Haram Strikes Again in Adamawa Governor's Hometown

On February 24, 2026, Boko Haram insurgents attacked the hometown of Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, located in the Madagali Local Government Area. This incident marks the fourth assault on the area within five months, following previous attacks on October 1, November 19, and December 8, 2025.

Local sources reported that the attack occurred around midnight, leading to the deaths of several individuals, though precise casualty figures have not been confirmed. Mohd Yusuf Kirchinga, a local resident, communicated via phone that the insurgents invaded the village, prompting many to flee into the bush.
