Terrorists Attack Governor Fintiri's Hometown in Adamawa, Abduct Six Persons

Terrorists carried out an attack in Gare Village, Madagali, the hometown of Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, abducting six family members. The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the incident and initiated a joint rescue operation involving the police, military, and civilian joint task force.

The attack involved the rustling of livestock in the area. The Nigerian Army's 144 Battalion and the Nigeria Police Force were deployed to the affected area, with heightened security measures implemented in neighboring communities.

Governor Fintiri, amidst the security challenges, began a tour of the state's local government areas to assess the prevailing security situation. This attack adds to the rising insecurity in the state, with recent violence in Hong Local Government Area resulting in casualties and property destruction.
