Gunmen Kill Three in Plateau State Attack After Tinubu Visit

On Friday evening, gunmen ambushed a group of youths in the Nyango area of Gyel, Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of three individuals: Luka Sandu Pam (36), Samuel Davou (38), and Deme Said (35). This incident occurred just 48 hours after President Bola Tinubu's visit to the state, raising concerns about security in the region.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants opened fire without warning, causing the group to flee in different directions. Dung Davou, the Gyel youth leader, confirmed the deaths and described the attack as unprovoked and deeply troubling.

Solomon Dalyop, chairman of the Berom Youth Moulder Association, condemned the killings and highlighted the fragile security situation in Plateau State. The victims were reportedly returning home after observing Good Friday activities when they were ambushed.

Local leaders have called for increased security measures to prevent further violence, as the area has seen a rise in violent attacks in recent months.
