In Plateau State, four individuals, including three farmers, were killed in separate attacks in the Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas, just three days after President Bola Tinubu's visit. The violence occurred despite the President's vow to prevent such attacks. The Berom Youth Moulder Association, represented by spokesperson Rwang Tengwong, confirmed that three farmers were killed on Sunday night in Pwomol village, Heipang district, and condemned the incidents, calling for a thorough investigation by security agencies. The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, represented by state chairman Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, confirmed the killing of a herder in Riyom on Monday morning, stating the victim was ambushed while traveling with his younger brother. Tensions between Berom and Fulani groups have escalated, with accusations exchanged regarding the violence. Previous incidents included the killing of four individuals, including two farmers and two herders, in similar attacks in the region.
