Nnamdi Emeh's Trial Delayed Again Due to Judge's Illness

The trial of whistleblower Nnamdi Emeh has encountered another delay as Judge Evelyn Anyadik was unable to preside over the court session due to illness. The next scheduled court date is December 9, 2025.

Emeh, who is the son of Professor John Kanu Emeh, has been in custody at the Awka Correctional Centre in Anambra State since his arrest on March 3, 2023, in the Benin Republic. He faces multiple charges, including fraud, money laundering, impersonation, unlawful possession of firearms, and defamation.

Notably, allegations have emerged regarding organ harvesting within the Nigeria Police Force, which were revealed by Emeh's prosecution. Following his arrest, Emeh spent four months in prison and was placed in solitary confinement due to concerns about information leaks to the press.
