Adamawa Stakeholders Reject ADC Congress Outcomes

Aggrieved stakeholders in Adamawa have expressed their rejection of the recent congresses conducted by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by Ishaya Bauka. Despite a high court order to suspend the congresses, the outcomes were produced, leading to significant discontent among stakeholders, particularly those aligned with the camp of Senator Aishatu Binani.

The stakeholders convened a meeting on April 18, 2026, where they declared a loss of confidence in the party's leadership at both state and national levels. They accused the congress committee of manipulating the process and disregarding the will of party members.

The stakeholders described the congress outcomes as null and void, indicating a major political realignment ahead of the 2027 general elections. They announced their immediate and irreversible resignations from the ADC platform, citing entrenched undemocratic practices and a lack of adherence to the rule of law.
