Bauchi APC Aspirants Protest Primary Election Neglect

Aggrieved aspirants from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State protested against perceived neglect following the recent primary elections for the Bauchi State House Assembly. During a press briefing held in Bauchi, Gazali Wunti, speaking on behalf of the APC aspirants forum, expressed deep disappointment with the primary's conduct, stating it fell short of expectations for a truly competitive democratic process.

The aspirants indicated that the aftermath of the primaries led to several defections from the party due to grievances. Wunti emphasized the importance of addressing these issues to prevent further losses and urged the APC national chairman, Nentaw Yilwatda, to initiate a thorough and transparent review of the primary election process.

The forum reaffirmed its loyalty to the APC and committed to working towards the party's success in the upcoming elections, while warning that continued neglect could weaken party cohesion. They called for greater inclusivity in party affairs and decision-making processes.
