Kundak Alleges Irregularities in Bauchi South APC Primary

Abdulmumi Kundak, an aspirant for the Bauchi South senatorial district seat on the APC platform, publicly criticized the conduct of the primary elections scheduled for Monday. In a press conference held on Tuesday, he claimed that there was no evidence of valid primary elections taking place across the senatorial district.

Kundak alleged that the process was hijacked by individuals within the party and that due process was not followed. He emphasized the need for the APC leadership to investigate the alleged irregularities and ensure transparency in the electoral process.

Kundak expressed disappointment over the outcome, stating that he joined the race expecting a credible primary election. He also noted that while candidates had already been announced, it was the party leadership's responsibility to verify compliance with party guidelines.

Despite the crisis, Kundak remained optimistic about the APC's prospects for the 2027 general elections, suggesting that resolving internal issues would lead to success.
