Bauchi Aspirants Remain in APC Despite Primary Discontent

Aspirants for the Bauchi State House of Assembly have publicly expressed their disappointment with the recent APC primary elections, describing the process as falling short of expectations for a truly competitive democratic exercise. Gazali Wunti, speaking on behalf of the aspirants during a press briefing, stated that despite their dissatisfaction, they prefer to remain within the APC rather than leave the party.

They aim to engage constructively and seek redress for their grievances. Wunti noted that the aftermath of the primaries has triggered a wave of defections among several aspirants due to the perceived neglect by the party.

He commended the APC national chairman, Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda, for his commitment to reviewing the primary election process.

The aspirants called on the APC leadership to address the concerns of aggrieved members to restore confidence and unity within the party as they prepare for the upcoming general elections in 2026.
