A’Ibom Assembly Speaks On Plan To Probe Former Governor, Udom Emmanuel

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly addressed reports about a plan to probe former Governor Udom Emmanuel in a statement by Deputy Speaker Kufreabasi Edidem. Edidem clarified that the House had indeed constituted a committee to investigate an issue raised during a plenary session on August 7 regarding an employee of the Coconut Plantation who had not been paid for seven months.

Edidem emphasized the importance of accurate reporting, stating that sensational reporting misleads the public and undermines the credibility of democratic institutions. The committee has been given one month to investigate the matter and report back.
