Akwa Ibom IGR Rises to N7bn Monthly After TSA Policy

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno expressed satisfaction with the state's financial performance, revealing that the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) has surged from N2 billion to N7 billion monthly after the implementation of the Treasury Single Account (TSA) policy, which began on January 1, 2026. This policy mandates all ministries, departments, and agencies to remit government revenue into a single centralized account to ensure transparency.

During a monthly prayer service at the Government House in Uyo, Eno reaffirmed his administration's commitment to increasing the state's IGR in the coming months to ensure financial sustainability and the ability to pay workers' salaries. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the TSA rules and warned against any actions that could compromise revenue generation.

Eno also highlighted the need for a development blueprint to address the state's developmental needs and urged residents to support peace and unity as the political season unfolds.
