Air Peace Suspends Flights to Benin Airport Due to Closure

Air Peace announced the temporary suspension of all flight operations to and from Benin Airport on Thursday due to the closure of the airport’s runway. This closure was prompted by an incident involving an Enugu Air Embraer E170 aircraft, which overshot the end of Runway 05 after landing, resulting in a runway excursion.

Air Peace stated that the disruption was beyond its control and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers. The airline appealed for patience and understanding from affected travelers as airport authorities work to restore normal operations.

The suspension of flights was effective immediately on the day of the announcement, and Air Peace emphasized that the situation necessitated the cancellation of scheduled services.
