Aiyedatiwa Appoints Segun Odusanya as New Head of Service

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has approved the appointment of Chief Segun Odusanya as the new Head of Service, effective June 6, 2026. This appointment follows the retirement of Mr.

Bayo Philip from service. Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the former Head of Service for his contributions to the development of the state and wished him well in his future endeavors.

The governor urged the new Head of Service to leverage his wealth of experience to enhance the public service and drive effective administration in the state. Chief Odusanya was born on February 6, 1967, and attended St.

Peter's Primary School in Il Oluji and Gboluji Anglican Grammar School from 1972 to 1983. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1989 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies in 1992.

He further pursued a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Ado Ekiti, which he completed in 2000. Odusanya joined the Ondo State Public Service in September 1995 and has served in various ministries and agencies, eventually becoming a Permanent Secretary in 2019.
