Dapo Abiodun Appoints Six New Permanent Secretaries

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun approved the appointment of six new permanent secretaries to fill vacancies created by the statutory retirement of former permanent secretaries. The announcement was made on Friday through a statement issued by the Head of Service, Mr.

Iskeel Saka. The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Dr.

Solomon Oluseyi Sokunbi, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoy Akinwunmi, Mr.

Adedeji Akanbi Sowunmi, Mr. Olumid Olusola Ogunbo, Mr.

Dolamu Isaiah Idowu Agida, and Tpl Musinat Abiola Ayodele. The appointments were made in line with Section 208(c) of the 1999 Constitution and followed a careful consideration of merit and professionalism.

All six appointees successfully completed the Ogun State Pipeline Leadership Development Programme, which is a mandatory requirement for appointments to the state's highest public service leadership positions, including the office of permanent secretary. Governor Abiodun expressed that the appointments reflect his commitment to building an effective, responsive, and result-oriented civil service.

The new permanent secretaries are expected to play key roles in advancing ongoing reforms within the Ogun State civil service to improve service delivery for residents. The date for their inauguration will be communicated later.
