Makinde Appoints New Head of Service and Commissioners

On Monday, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde swore in Adenik Fasina as the new Head of Service during a ceremony held at the Executive Chamber of the Governor's Office in Agodi, Ibadan. Alongside Fasina, Lateef Oyeleke and Ayobami Ojo were appointed as commissioners, with Oyeleke assigned to the Commission of Special Duties and Ojo to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

Governor Makinde emphasized that the appointments were based on merit and performance, aiming to improve the state's civil service and public administration. He noted that Fasina is the 19th Head of Service and the 7th female to occupy the position, fulfilling a commitment to include women in governance, which aligns with the state's 35 percent affirmative action policy.

The governor urged the new appointees to work diligently for the growth and development of Oyo State and reassured residents about security measures in the state.
