Aiyedatiwa Denies Allegations Against APC Ahead of 2027

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa addressed allegations suggesting he was undermining the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Speaking on Monday in Akure during a stakeholders’ meeting with APC chairmen from the 18 local government areas and 203 wards, Aiyedatiwa firmly denied directing any APC member to leave the party for an opposition platform.

He described the allegations as falsehoods aimed at creating confusion within the party and asserted his commitment to maintaining party unity. Aiyedatiwa emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization, stating that the success of the APC would depend on effective voter engagement at the polling units.

He urged ward chairmen to conduct regular meetings to strengthen party structures and prepare for the upcoming elections, while warning against activities that could undermine the APC. The governor called for support for President Bola Tinubu and all APC candidates as the party seeks to consolidate its position in Ondo State.
